How does Globant Enterprise AI work?

“Globant Enterprise AI acts as a bridge between different Generative AI models known as Large Language Models (LLM) and the world of business applications. Through a single API exposed by Globant Enterprise AI, it is possible to interact with any LLM. This means it is platform-agnostic regarding the LLM you want to use, allowing experimentation with various models simultaneously. It also facilitates the definition and versioning of assistants, abstracting from the model to be used. Additionally, it exposes these models through an API that enables the integration of these assistants into any application, regardless of the programming language used.”

What are its standout features?

“Globant Enterprise AI facilitates the definition of various types of assistants that allow direct chat with LLMs, with a relational database, with company documents, with APIs, or with a dataset within a CSV file. Each of these assistants is versioned and automatically exposed to be accessible via API. It also allows managing the budget allocated to each project for LLM consumption and centralizing the management of credentials that enable the use of these assistants. It provides observability over interactions with the assistants, offering traceability of their usage. This includes information on which assistants are used the most, the costs associated with their use, and other key indicators, both by project and by user.”

What sets Globant Enterprise AI apart from other AI software development tools?

“It is a platform agnostic to LLMs, allowing experimentation with different models in a safe and controlled environment. It facilitates the integration of Generative AI capabilities into existing or new business applications. Additionally, it is designed to be installed on the client’s private cloud instance, whether on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.”

What guarantees does it offer in terms of security and financial control?

“Since it acts as an intermediate layer, anyone working with Globant Enterprise AI is protected because the data will not be made public or used by LLMs for training these models. It also features custom authentication and authorization protocols that ensure data travels securely and complies with business-imposed rules. Economically, it allows for monitoring costs and interactions associated with each LLM, which helps optimize financial analysis and control, ensuring efficient use of resources.”

What advice would you give to companies evaluating the implementation of such solutions in their systems?

“First, you should define a strategy for approaching the use of Generative AI, considering People, Ideas, and Platforms. It is essential to foster an environment of experimentation, train people, and select a platform that allows for safe operation and cost control of this technology. Starting with solid ideas, assembling the right team, and applying the best tools are crucial steps to leverage this technology and solve complex problems. It is also crucial to understand how AI can add value to your existing operations and processes. Lastly, but equally important, I recommend starting with pilot projects or proof of concepts that ensure a quick win and impact the business. This will help better understand the potential impact of AI on your systems and ensure successful long-term implementation.”
